Abstract: Social security is a state of safety and peace of a social community, in which security, order and safety are the most important measures, reflecting the quality of life and happiness of people. Nowadays, the normal life of people in many places is still threatened by many existing threats, such as armed conflicts, local wars, natural disasters, environmental disasters, or epidemics... The article gives an overview of the formation and development of the social security system in the UK, thereby giving some inplications on social security policies for Vietnam.
