Abstract: With the will and desire to find the way to national liberation, leaders Nguyen Ai Quoc - President Ho Chi Minh sought, applied and creatively developed Marxism - Leninism in specific conditions of the country, gradually shaping the nation's revolutionary path, including views on the development model and path of Vietnam. The article presents an overview of the basic contents of Ho Chi Minh's thought on Vietnam’s general development model and path - an important theoretical basis for the Communist Party of Vietnam to lead and develop the country in the current period.
