Keywords: The first requirement for accurately assessing the staff quality is to correctly determine the evaluation criteria. In the Central region of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, it is important to pay attention to the following criteria when selecting the contingent of district cadres under the provision of the provincial Standing Party Committee: quantity and structure; political qualities; moral qualities, lifestyle, and sense of discipline; qualifications, capacity, and working style; willingness to accept and complete the assigned responsibilities and tasks.
