Abstract: On August 15, 2021, the Taliban took control of Kabul capital, Afghanistan which not only marked the return to power of the Taliban after 20 years of being attacked and pursued, but also reflected the weakness of the Afghan government and the failure of the United States since its intervention in the country in 2001 through the war on terror. The article contributes to clarifying the process of returning to power of the Taliban; the cause of the rapid collapse of the Afghan government and the failure of the United States in this country.
