Abstract: Over the past 35 years, the renovation process in Vietnam has changed all aspects of social life. Besides the achievements in economic development, the problem of the rich-poor divide is also taking place, increasing the disadvantaged group in society, increasing social inequality, and directly affecting social progress and justice. The article identifies and analyzes the negative impacts of the rich-poor divide, thereby proposing some solutions to limit the negative impacts of the rich-poor divide according to the direction of the 13^thNational Party Congress.
