Abstract: Developing a socialist-oriented market economy in Vietnam is a realistic, objective, and an innovative choice of the Party on the country’s economic development line. The article analyzes the basis of this choice, theoretical developments of the Party, and achievements in the development of a socialist-oriented market economy in Vietnam.
