The general view of scientific workshop

Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, HCMA President Nguyen Xuan Thang co-chaired the workshop with Alternate Member of Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Thai Thanh Quy as well as Deputy Head of the Central propaganda and training commission Phan Xuan Thuy.

Attending the workshop were representatives of leaders from central departments, ministries and agencies, the Commission for Mass Mobilisation, the Central Theoretical Council, Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vietnam Women's Union, representing leaders of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and Nghe An province; scientists; representatives of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai’s family.

On the side of HCMA, attending the workshop were HCMA Vice President Le Van Loi, leaders of functional units, specialized institutes of the Academy; experts and scientists at the Academy. On the side of Nghe An province, there were Standing Deputy Party Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Son; Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong, together with the comrades in the provincial Party Standing Committee, representatives of leaders of departments, agencies, localities in the province, etc.

The workshop was a practical activity aimed at reviewing the vibrant and noble revolutionary activities of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai; expressing deep gratitude for her great contributions to the Vietnamese revolution and her homeland Nghe An. It also contributes to promoting the education of patriotism and revolutionary traditions for all strata of the people, especially the young generation, practically contributing to the cause of building and firmly defending the Socialist Vietnam.

Speaking at the opening ceremony and leading the seminar, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, HCMA President and Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council Nguyen Xuan Thang emphasized that Nguyen Thi Minh Khai was born on September 30, 1910 in a small family of officials in Vinh city, Nghe An province - a land of talented people and full of revolutionary patriotic traditions. Early enlightened by the revolution, she was active in the youth student movement in 1925-1926. In 1927, she was admitted to the Vietnam Revolutionary Comrades Association (later named the Tan Viet Revolutionary Party), then became a key officer of Tan Viet and was appointed as Secretary of Women Union, member of Provincial Standing Committee of Tan Viet Nghe An. After the birth of Dong Duong Communist Party (June 1929), she joined this organization. She became one of the first class members of the Communist Party of Vietnam which was established in February 1930.

Nguyen Thi Minh Khai participated in revolutionary activities at the age of 16 and spent 15 years continuously performing revolutionary activities, fulfilling different positions and tasks assigned by the Party and the Communist International. Her revolutionary life was a shining and noble example of a talented communist soldier, sacrificing all her life for the independence of the country, freedom and happiness of the people, for the great development of the world revolutionary movement. She was one of the typical senior leaders of the Party and the Vietnamese revolution, a loyal and exemplary communist woman who strived to sacrifice her life for the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation. Her life and revolutionary career was a very beautiful symbol and exemplified the heroic spirit, indomitability and sacrifices of Vietnamese women in the cause of national independence and the people happiness.

HCMA President Nguyen Xuan Thang affirmed Nguyen Thi Minh Khai as an example of being loyal, indomitable, and striving for the whole life to sacrifice for the independence of the Fatherland, for the freedom and happiness of the people. She, the elite of the Party Committee and the people of Nghe An province, will live forever with the revolutionary cause of the Party and the people of Vietnam, forever lives with the glorious and heroic traditions of Nghe An homeland.

Speaking at the workshop, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee Thai Thanh Quy emphasized: through several thousand years of history of the nation, Nghe An has been proud of being a land rich in traditions, history, culture and revolution. Following that tradition, Nghe An gave birth to and brought up many excellent people who contributed gloriously to the country and made the locality renowned.

Reviewing the life and revolutionary career of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, he affirmed that she was a shining example of the quality and personality of a model communist soldier, being loyal to the Party and devoted to the people; always putting the benefits of the revolution above private life and family happiness.

"Her great dedication contributed to making the name of our Fatherland more glorious, highlighting the history and glorious traditions of Nghe An's homeland". The Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee said that, promoting the revolutionary tradition of the heroic homeland, studying the example of comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Party Committee and People Nghe An have so far overcome all difficulties, challenges, achieving many very important achievements in the fields of politics, economy, culture, society, human resources, construction of the Party and the political system, security and foreing affairs. They have made many worthy contributions in the cause of the national liberation, building and defending the Socialist Vietnam Fatherland.

The workshop received 40 reports, speeches and many important opinions, among which there are such notable ones as: " Nguyen Thi Minh Khai - example of a resilient and indomitable woman "; " Nguyen Thi Minh Khai - a talented civil servant of the Party and the Vietnamese revolution"; " Nguyen Thi Minh Khai with the Party building work"; "Nghe An Party Committee and people study and follow the example of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai"; "The influence of the homeland and family on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai’s  personality, revolutionary qualities and ideologies ; "The revolutionary tradition of Nghe An homeland and the formation of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai’s revolutionary will"; "Youth and the first patriotic activities of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai"; "Activities of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai in the campaign to establish the Communist Party in Nghe An"; "Activities and dedication of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai as Secretary of the Party Committee of Saigon - Cho Lon"; " Nguyen Thi Minh Khai in the writings of President Ho Chi Minh"...

Reports, speeches and opinions highlighted the main contents: Nguyen Thi Minh Khai – a female cadre of the Party and Vietnam revolution; an example of the perseverant and indomitable communist, representing the beauty of Vietnamese women; the elite of Nghe An homeland.

In her speech Secretary of the Party Youth Union, and President of the Vietnam Women's Union Ha Thi Nga emphasized: Although passing away at very young age, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai’s indomitable and heroic spirit always endures with the history of national glorious struggle. The life of tirelessly striving for the revolutionary cause of the nation, the cause of women's liberation, the heroic self-sacrifice of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai has been always shining for generations of Vietnamese women to learn and follow.

To express gratitude and aim at education future generations, pictures of senior revolutionary woman soldiers and many artifacts reminiscent of women forged in actual struggle were displayed in a solemn position in the space of "Vietnamese women in history at the Vietnam Women's Museum". These photo showed women who are ready to face brutal torture, ready to sacrifice to ensure safety for the revolutionary organizations and the Party. The wooden tray that Nguyen Thi Minh Khai used to print leaflets during the 1936-1939 revolutionary movement is an important memento, vividly expressing the glorious historical moments of the nation that Vietnamese women directly or indirectly contribute in large part. “Today, when our country is entering the era of integration with the world, in the innovation process, Vietnamese women have the opportunity to contribute to the general development of society, creating a position for themselves. Nguyen Thi Minh Khai's viewpoints are still valid in practice ”- President of the Vietnam Women's Union Ha Thi Nga confirmed in her speech at the Conference.

On behalf of the leaders of Nghe An province, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Xuan Son presented the speech "The Party and People of Nghe An study and follow Nguyen Thi Minh Khai’s example”. He affirmed: “The example of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai's heroic and resilient sacrifice has highlighted the glorious history and traditions of the Party, the nation and the homeland Nghe An. Promoting the tradition of the Xo Viet homeland, studying and following Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, the Party Committee and the people of Nghe An are willing to unite with the spirit of innovation, creativity, turning the predecessors’ opposition to slavery into the desire to fight poverty and backwardness ".

Speaking at the workshop, the representative of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai's family expressed the gratitude to the organizing Committee for holing this meaningful workshop while sharing more stories about the revolutionary activities of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai in Vinh as well as her memories with relatives, affirming that her next generations are trying to preserve and promote family traditions.

Summarizing and wrapping up the workshop, Deputy Head of the Central propaganda and training commission Phan Xuan Thuy assessed that delegates and scientists focused on analyzing, explaining, clarifying the topic of the workshop from many different approaches. Many speeches have deeply analyzed the influence of homeland and family traditions on fostering patriotism, forming revolutionary character of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai; focusing on clarifying important contributions of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai in the campaign to establish the Communist Party of Vietnam; as well as deeply analyzing her activities and contributions during the years working abroad; during the revolutionary movement in the years 1938-1939 in Saigon. Another important content at the seminar was her shining moral example, a symbol of a Vietnamese woman who is loyal, indomitable and an excellent person of Nghe An province.

The workshop was a practical activity to highlight Nguyen Thi Minh Khai’s life with rich revolutionary activities, her talented revolutionary qualities and the lofty revolutionary moral example. Her name and noble revolutionary career has been inscribed in history for eternity.
