(LLCT) - In Vietnam today, tourism has become an important economic sector, with many great contributions to social and economic development. However, tourism activities have also caused many consequences to the environment. Therefore, combining tourism economic development with ensuring environmental security is an urgent and vital requirement of Vietnam’s sustainable tourism development in particular and its sustainable development in general. This article focuses on clarifying some major forms of implementing the link between tourism economic development and environmental security in Vietnam today.

(LLCT) - On the basis of analyzing the research findings on the impact of the media on social trust in recent years in Vietnam in general and Central Vietnam in particular, the article focuses on clarifying the role of the mass media in building and strengthening social trust in Central Vietnam in the coming time concerning the following aspects: promoting the role of the mass media through social opinion orientation and building trust for people; building social life, enhancing the position and voice of the people; preventing and repelling negative phenomena in social life; and fighting against plots for distortion of opposing and hostile forces.

(LLCT) - Waste, along with bureaucracy and corruption, has been generating a lot of pressure in society, seriously affecting the reputation of the Party, and threatening the survival of the regime. Over the past years, the Party and State have drastically led and directed the prevention and fight against corruption and waste and have achieved important initial results. However, compared to corruption, waste prevention and combat has not been taken seriously. The article contributes to clarifying the concept of waste, the causes of waste and the prevention and combat against waste of the Party and the State at present. 

(LLCT) - Carrying on the process of amending, supplementing and improving institutional organization to build a municipal government in the direction of clarifying the organizational structures of municipal, rural, island, and special administrative-economic unit governments, along with proactively piloting in eligible areas, are emphasized contents in the 12th Party Congress’s Resolution. From local practices, Da Nang is actively researching and building a modern municipal government to meet the needs of state development and management in the City.

(LLCT) - Implementing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam on "A number of issues on continued renovation and organization of the apparatus towards a streamlined, effective and efficient political system” and 4 years of implementing the Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW dated April 17, 2015 of the Poliburo “on downsizing/restructuring the contingent of cadres, civil servants and public employees”, Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee has actively implemented the arrangement and restructuring of the apparatus of a number of administrative agencies and non-business units which are of similar functions and duties, of inappropriate operation scale, size, and with low performance, thus initial important results have been achieved. However, Vinh Phuc is in the face of difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process and needs attention and support from the Central Government.

(LLCT) - The Politburo’s resolution No. 52-NQ/TW issued on September 27, 2019 set the goal of digital economy in Vietnam to account for 20% of GDP by 2025 and over 30% of GDP by 2030. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to build and implement an appropriate system of solutions. Based on the research and evaluation of difficulties and challenges in developing the digital economy, this article will provide suggestions to promote the development of digital economy in Vietnam in the coming period.

(LLCT) - Religious change in Vietnam has a major influence on traditional customs and practices in both positive and negative directions. On the one hand, it contributes to restoring many fine national traditions and customs and changing the lifestyle and behavior of a group of people. On the other hand, it revitalizes many customs and backward practices, distorting and fading some customs and traditions. These impacts have raised many issues to the Party and the State and need to be solved in the course of national construction and development in the new period.

(LLCT) - The appearance of social media has created a lot of opportunities and benefits for transferring, receiving, and sharing information and knowledge to serve the diverse needs of the community. However, with an extremely fast and uncontrollable information spreading mechanism, social media has been causing numerous negative effects on social life, especially in the culture of behavior and speech on social networks. On the basis of analyzing the positive and negative impacts of social media, this article proposes groups of solution to the subjects such as individuals, organizations joining social networks, subjects of managing and improving the law basis, providers of the social media services and media managing units, etc. to limit the negative influence of social media as well as create favorable conditions for social media to develop in the right orientation and conform with national culture.

(LLCT) - Protestantism was presented to the Central Highlands in the late ‘20s of the 20th century. At present, Protestantism has an important position in the religious life in this area and meets the religious and belief needs of the ethnic minorities in the Central Highlands. However, the activities of Protestantism in the Central Highlands are also raising issues that need to be addressed, such as the lack of religious places and activities that take advantage of Protestantism of the bad forces. Identifying these problems will help our Party and State make appropriate decisions.

(LLCT) - To identify gaps in Vietnam’s labor and employment policies from the viewpoint of flexi-security of employment, this article focuses on reviewing and assessing the relationship of flexibility and security of employment in the context of the existing regulations on (1) Employment contracts (EC), entering into and performance of an EC; and (2) Wages and insurance, including participation in social insurance (SI), unemployment insurance (UI) and health insurance (HI); as well as proposing solutions to overcome the limitations and enhance the strengths of the current labor and employment policy.
