Tran Van Phong: Breakthrough solutions to promote the human factor in national development

The Party and State of Vietnam have intensively promoted the human factor in the cause of national liberation and development. However, there are still shortcomings. To effectively promote the human factor, Vietnam should synchronously apply breakthrough solutions: Clarify the perception of the promotion of human factor; ensure the rightful benefit of the people; strongly renovate the state apparatus to create chances for individuals to fully develop their abilities and strengths; promote democracy; and enhance the national unity bloc.

To Duy Hop: Systematic approach to the management of rural society in Vietnam today

Systematic approach generally includes: systematic concept, systematic theory and systematic methodology. From the general perspectives of the society and particularly rural society, the article analyzed the dialectic unity and contradiction between the two social management systems: The State manages rural society and villages self-govern their communities. Thence, the author proposed orientations for a cooperative social management system based on a rational decentralization/

authorization between the State and village communities. Also, the author suggested the strategic solution to modernize the current social management in a Vietnamese and healthy way.

Tran Thanh: Renew the teaching of philosophy focusing on the training of thinking methods for key cadres

The article highlighted the importance of equipping and training methodology for the renovation of teaching, particularly teaching of philosophy in the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics. Besides, the article suggested main measures to fulfill the task of “Continue renovating the curriculum of political theory courses toward a higher quality, performance and compatibility” assigned by the 12th Party Congress.

Le Tam Dac: Changes in religious activities of H’Mong people in Son La province today

From the overview of the traditional religious practices of the H’Mong people, the article analyzed the tradition religious practices of the H’Mong people in Son La province from late 1908s to date. Positive changes in H’Mong people’s traditional religious practices have been highlighted in the implementation of the “Convention of the 21 H’Mong villages” and the “Commitment of Five DOs and Five DON’Ts”, which represented the bond between people’s will and the Party’s guidelines. Such changes have contributed in maintaining the national unity bloc, stabilize socio-political situation and promote the practical and spiritual of the local H’Mong community.

With such speeches and activities in the past days, it is hard to identify the tendencies of American foreign policy under President Donald Trump. However, reality has driven to initial predictions of American foreign policy in the coming time, including: Strengthening “hard power”; consolidating alliance; intensifying US presence in Asia-Pacific; carrying out “closed door” policy; and forming the American version of the new type of “great power” relations.
