Le Quoc Ly: Ho Chi Minh’s views on guaranteeing a prosperous and happy life for the people

Ho Chi Minh thought that: “Socialism is about to make people have enough food and clothing, access to education and healthcare, gradually remove backward customs and habits,… To the end, the progress of society, the rise of material wealth, and the well-being of the spiritual life of the people are socialism”. Today, in the trend of deep and comprehensive integration, it is necessary to grasp the President Ho Chi Minh's thoughts in the cause of building socialism and to build a Vietnam of wealthy people, strong country, just, democratic and civilized society.

Le Ba Trinh: Vietnam Fatherland Front’s social supervision and criticism on religious works: Theoretical and practical issues

Vietnam Fatherland Front’s social supervision and criticism, particularly in religious works is the inevitable and objective needs of the socio-political system. That is a way to ensure the Fatherland Front’s roles in “representing, protecting legal and rightful rights and benefits of the people”. Based on Ho Chi Minh Thought; the Party’s and State’s guidelines and laws; and reality of the Fatherland Front’s social supervision and criticism, the article posed solutions to promote the efficiency of the social supervision and criticism in religious works as a contribution to the success of the national religious affairs.

Hoang Ngoc Hoa: Developing high-tech agriculture together with restructuring national agriculture: An institutional perspectives

Development of high-tech agriculture can be approached from many angles. From an institutional perspective, the author mentions three key areas: First, restructuring the agricultural sector is an urgent requirement to develop the country’s agriculture into a large, modern commodity agriculture with high value added. Second, high-tech agriculture and its role in Vietnam’s agricultural restructuring. Third, orientation and essential conditions in institutions in order to promote the role of high-tech agriculture in agricultural restructuring.

Bui Thi Ngoc Lan : Infuse the spirit of the Resolution of the 4th Party Congress (12th tenure) into researching and lecturing of political theory

In the work of building the Party, the contingent of teachers, propagandists and political theorists play a very important role in spreading and defending the Party's ideology and the State’s policy and law. However, a part of cadres, lecturers on this task has manifested “self-evolving”, “self-transformation”, degradation of moral and lifestyle. That is seriously affecting the prestige of the Party, threatening the survival of the socialism in Vietnam. Faced with this situation, the urgent requirement for this team is thoroughly grasp the Resolution of the 4th Party Congress (12th tenure).

Trinh Duy Luan: Social management and urbanization in Vietnam

The article outlines the characteristics and social problems in social management due to urbanization in Vietnam. Urban development in width and unsustainable way have raised many issues such as wasteful use of land, resettlement and livelihoods for farmers who had lost their land, living environment of urban residents. Social management should be involved with all available tools and instruments and towards a more harmonized, social, democratic and humane urbanization model, with the goal of human development and justice for vulnerable groups.

Phan Manh Toan: Promotion of people’s strengths and creativeness in the national renovation today

According to the 12th Party Congress, the task of “attracting, promoting strongly all resources and creativity of the people” is regarded as one of the six center tasks that need to be paid special attention in the leadership and direction of effective implementation. In order to realize this, it is necessary to deal with some urgent issues: Constantly strengthening the confidence and support of the people in the Party-led renewal cause; To ensure transparency in mechanisms and policies, to create a fair and favourable environment for the dedication and enjoyment of people of all strata; To create a free and democratic environment, strengthen social consensus, consolidate the great national unity bloc; To resolve harmoniously and rationally the beneficial relationship and resolutely against negative group interests.
