Nguyen Trong Phuc: The scientific and realistic traits of Marx and Engels’s socialist theory represented in the Communist Manifesto

In the Communist Manifesto, Marx and Ferdinand discovered the rule of capitalism and pointed out the inevitability of the proletarian revolution to abolish the capitalist society, to build a new socialism and communism. In order to do that, it is necessary to organize the proletariat's own party, including the elite, the most advanced of the class; building the Political Platform, spreading it into the workers' movement; the proletariat must be gathered and reorganized, be aware of the ideals, political consciousness... In addition, the inevitability of the proletarian revolution and the socialist road and many issues have been mentioned, such as: the issues of nationality, religion, philosophy, rule of law, industrial revolution, world market, etc... They all have long-term strategic significance to this day.

Lam Quang Dai: A lesson of forming the strong spirit in fighting against the American B-52 air planes strategic offensive in December 1972

The victory over the US air operation on Hanoi, Hai Phong and other Northern cities in December 1972 was a significant historic event in the war against America and national liberation of Vietnamese people. The historic victory is not only the bright symbol of Vietnamese revolutionary heroism, manifesting the will, wisdom and courage, initiative, creativity, fearlessness and sacrifice of the people, but also a lesson of forming the strong spirit in fighting against the American B-52 air planes strategic offensive in December 1972.

Nguyen Dang Thanh: Breakthrough solutions in building strategic-level personnel to meet requirements of national building and defense in the new period

Recognizing the role of cadres at strategic level in the country's construction and development, in the renovation period, the Party has focused on building and establishing a system of regulations and solutions for construction of this team. However, before the new requirements of national development practice, many regulations and solutions are no longer appropriate. On the basis of clear analysis of limitations and inadequacies in the areas of standardization, planning, selection, training and evaluation, inspecting and supervising cadres the strategic staffs, the article proposes a number of recommendations to improve the efficiency of this work.

Pham Hong Chuong: Ho Chi Minh and the soft power of Vietnam

Inheriting mankind’s righteous, civilized and advanced values, Ho Chi Minh developed the persuasive soft power of Vietnam to contribute in building a stable peace in the world. Therefore, Vietnam has gained the consent and support of the advanced peoples and has won great victories in our path of national liberation and development.

Dinh Van Trung: “State-owned enterprise“ - The concept and reality in Vietnam

The operation of State-owned enterprises in recent years and results of the enterprises restructuring that focused on State-owned enterprises since 2011 have pointed out that the current cognition and theory of State-owned enterprises are not reality-based. The existing flaws in the operational model, especially the organizational and managerial mechanism of State-owned enterprises are hindering their outcomes and leading to their failure to meet the requirements of the Party, State and the national economy. Therefore, rethinking and reidentifying the theory of State-owned enterprises is essential for Vietnam today.

Le Hai Binh: Identifying US policy towards ASEAN under Donald Trump Presidency

Since 2009, Obama administration had paid a special attention to the Asia-Pacific region and by making certain moves for stronger bonds with nations in the region. Having the important position in the regional structure, ASEAN had been central to US’s „pivot“ and „rebalance“ policies in the Asia-Pacific region. However, after eight years of Obama Presidency, the US-ASEAN relations has yet to fully reached expectations and statements, which posed great challenges to Donald Trump administration. In the first year of Trump Presidency, however, US polycy towards ASEAN has yet to be clearly identified, and there are issues to be concerned for Asia-Pacific nations.
