Do Thi Thach: On the “Two inevitability” viewpoint in the Communist Manifesto and its essence for the current times

In the Communist Manifesto, K.Marx and F.Engels pointed out the inevitable tendencies of human history, they are: Socialism would inevitably replace capitalism, and “the collapse of the bourgeois class is as inevitable as the triumph of the proletarian class”. They affirmed that the more developed capitalism and bourgeois class were, the more negative forces would be created; and that it was undeniable for human race to proceed to socialism, and that mission belonged to the most advanced class in the society - the working class. The Two inevitability viewpoint stated in the Communist Manifesto has been serving as the methodology and the lodestar for the working class, the communist parties and the progressive people all over the world as well as in Vietnam to realize the ideal of communism into each nation’s condition.

Tran Nguyen Tuyen: The Communist Manifesto: The landmark of Marxism’s maturity

Even after 170 years from its foundation, the values of the Communist Manifesto has remained in recognizing the characteristics and nature of the current epoch under the impacts of the globalization and international integration. Along with the times, the work has been proving its vitality and the scientific and revolutionary nature of Marxism - Leninism despite the opposed and negative ideologies.

Luu Van Sung: The Soviet socialist model - A demonstration of the Communist Manifesto in the 20th century

Loyally following the Communist Manifesto, the Russian communists won the great October Revolution and built the socialism that was totally different from the capitalist economic model. The reform was necessary and essential, however, due to different reasons including the subjective mistakes of the leaders, the Soviet socialism was collapsed. Nowadays, Communist Parties all over the world need to learn from that failure in their path of building socialism.

Nguyen Trong Chuan: Party building in ethical aspect - An urgent task in the current context

In the current times, the corruption and degradation in political ideology, ethics and lifestyle of a part of public staff and party members are critical, seriously affecting the public faith on the Party’s leadership. In order to reach rapid and stable development, it is crucial for the Party to strengthen its wisdom, consciousness and ethics; to create the national unanimous and unity. Therefore, the urgent task for the Party is to propose effective solutions to Party building in ethical aspect.

Le Tam Dac - Nguyen Duc Su: The meaning and weakness of Marxist viewpoints of religion - An approach from religious studies

When referring to historical material philosophy, political economy and social science, K. Marx and F. Engels have discussed quite deeply the issue of religion. Many discoveries of K. Marx and F. Engels on the issue of religion from the point of view of historical materialism and on the proletarian stance until now still bear scientific values, but could not avoid the historical limits. This article clarifies the values and limitations of Marxism on the issue of religion in three aspects: the origin and nature of religion, the laws of religious development, and the future of religion.

Nguyen Van Dzung: Some issues of public policy communication in Vietnam today

On the narrow view, communication is the process of transforming social awareness, beginning with the absolutization of the concept of propaganda, moving towards the concept of communication, facilitating the process of innovation. In today's digital media environment, this transition, along with development, is gradually changing the pattern of communication, especially public policy communication. The article presents key issues related to conceptual perception and communication paradigms; analyzes the role of the institutional press and media in public policy communication; and tries to propose a model of public policy communication in Vietnam.

Ngo Dinh Xay: From K.Marx’s approach of depravation to the current depravation in Vietnam

When alive, K.Marx brought about the historical materialistic approach of the nature of depravation: it is a social phenomenon enrooted from human race and human society; depraved labourers lead to the loss of human race characteristics and human are no longer

themselves, and finally depravation manipulates and oppress human race and human society. From K.Marx’s approach of depravation, the author discusses that depravation is rather a common social phenomenon in Vietnam today, it can be found in many social aspects, such as depravation in productive activities (working forms) and working production; depravation in social relationship and social values; corruption of power; and depravation in beliefs and religions.

Nguyen Chi Dzung: The prevention of non-traditional crimes in Vietnam today

In recent years, non-traditional crimes have emerged and developed, directly affecting the stability and development of countries around the world, including Vietnam. At present, some types of non-traditional crimes in the country tend to increase and evolve complexly, causing serious consequences on security, social order and safety. Based on the analysis, clarification of the concepts, characteristics and reality of non-traditional crimes in Vietnam, the article proposes some recommendations on measures to prevent and fight against the non-traditional crimes and contribute to the sustainable development of the society.

Nguyen Van Quyet: The foundation basis and core issues of the socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era

At the 12th Congress (1982), the Chinese Communist Party officially recorded in the documents of the policy of building "socialism with Chinese characteristics". To the 19th Congress (October 2017), the Chinese Communist Party took the view of building “socialism with Chinese characteristics of the new age” with many new contents, directions and solutions. The article analyzes the basis of the formation and the main contents of the theory “Socialism with Chinese characteristics of the new age”.

Ha My Huong: On the US foreign policy after one year of Donald Trump’s Presidency

After a year in power (January 20, 2017 - January 20, 2018) of the US President Donald Trump - who has the famous campaign motto “make America great again”, “America above all”, “surprise” and "difference" is what is said about the US foreign policy and the 45th President of the United States. The article gives an overview of the surprise and distinctive foreign moves, as well as the pragmatism of President D.Trump in his first year in office.
