Maturation of the CPV’s theory on the private sector in the renewal period

(LLCT) - More than 30 years of renewal also means over 30 years of developing the Party's theory on the private sector, with three fundamental breakthroughs: 1) The 6th Party Congress, with new perspectives on the long-term role and position of the private sector; 2) The 10th Party Congress, with new awareness of the private sector as one of the accelerators for the economy; 3) The 12th Party Congress, with the view to consider the private sector as an important motive for the economy. In order to implement the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress, the Party Central Committee’s 5th Plenum has issued Resolution No.10 on private sector development.

(LLCT) - Over the years, Vietnam has achieved outstanding economic development achievements. However, the country is entering a new development stage with the challenges of the "middle-income trap", the economy is still unsustainable, the quality of growth and competitiveness of the economy is low and increasingly uneven among sectors and localities, the inequality of income also increases. In order to ensure the sustainability and inclusiveness of economic growth, solutions need to be devised to develop an advantageous sector, to improve reasonable allocation and transparency of public resources; to improve productivity; and to ensure educational development meets the Industrial Revolution 4.0.

State ownership and state enterprises in the socialist - oriented market economy in Vietnam: Some policy recommendations

(LLCT) - In the renovation period, the Party and State have consistently pursued the policy of developing a multi-sector economy with many forms of ownership. State-ownership and State-owned enterprises (SOEs) play the leading role in ensuring that Vietnam's market economy develops in a socialist orientation. However, due to there is no clear separation between owners' representatives and State management functions, the lack of uniformity in the exercise of rights, responsibilities and obligations of State owners, etc., the operation of SOEs is ineffective. Therefore, it is necessary to supplement and perfect the legal framework for the implementation of State ownership rights and SOEs management; to enhance transparency in the function of representing the State ownership.

Organization and operation of the Vietnamese political system: Issues in question

(LLCT) - The socialist political system in Vietnam is a whole, consisting of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the State of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations working in order to maintain and protect the power and interests of the working class, laborers and Vietnamese people. With three basic characteristics including monism, democracy and unity, this system proved its superiority during the revolutionary period of Vietnam which was widely supported by the people. Despite the advantages, the organizational and operational model of the Vietnamese political system has exposed several limitations and shortcomings such as cumbersome apparatus with low efficiency, unidentified and overlapping relationship between subjects which have not fully promoted the potential, activeness of the subjects, etc.. Thus, renovating the operation of the political system is a requirement posed by the current cause of renovation.

(LLCT) - Women’s rights are an issue of our age. Improving the position of women in the political field plays a particularly important role in improving the position of women in society in general. The National Strategy on Gender Equality pursues the goal of ensuring women’s rights and satisfying the demand for sustainable development and integration of the country today. The implementation of women’s political rights in Vietnam has seen many achievements but also obstacles and difficulties persist. The article presents general theoretical issues of women’s political rights and initial assessments on the implementation of Vietnamese women’s political rights at the present time.

In the context of implementation of the 2013 Constitution and realization of the 12th National Congress’s resolutions in social life, the article analyses the execution of Judicial Reform Strategy and then brings forward solutions to continue implementing the Judicial Reform Strategy until 2020 with the aim of protecting justice and human rights in Vietnam nowadays.

(LLCT) - “Developmental State” is a concept in which the state plays a more instrumental role in leading and promoting economic development than the traditional State. According to the Marxist - Leninist philosophy, developmental State is a form of State that can be applied to socialist countries. Legacy of Ho Chi Minh Thought on international integration and cooperation

(LLCT) - From the 1920s of the twentieth century, on the journey to find a way to save the country and liberate the nation, He raised the idea of being friends with all countries, regardless of political regimes. After the August Revolution (1945), He sent a letter to the United Nations General Assembly and other major countries expressing Vietnam’s wish to join the United Nations with the high responsibility of maintaining peace, fighting against oppression and injustice. Ho Chi Minh Thought on international integration and cooperation is the methodological orientation in the cause of renovation, integration and sustainable development in Vietnam today.
