PHAM HONG CHUONG - DINH DUC HUY: Ho Chi Minh's aspiration for independence, freedom, happiness and vision of the times

The 110^th anniversary of Ho Chi Minh’s departure to find a path for national salvation (June 5, 1911 - June 5, 2021) marks an event of special significance in the process of national struggle for independence and freedom throughout the 20^th century. His journey is the concretization of his epochal vision, which remains profoundly valuable in both theoretical and practical terms. In the path of international integration, Ho Chi Minh thought remains the cornerstone to be followed for his proposed goals of Independence - Freedom - Happiness for Vietnamese people in order to make Vietnam steadily step forward to the future.

LY VIET QUANG: Three historic decisions in Ho Chi Minh's journey to find a way to save the country

Ho Chi Minh’s journey to find a path for national salvation was marked with three historic decisions, including the decision to go to the West; the departure for seeking path for national salvation and the correct choice of the revolutionary path. Those three decisions contribute to the explanation of Ho Chi Minh’s journey to find a path for national salvation and his critical devotions to the struggle for independence and freedom of Vietnam.

TRAN VAN PHONG: The people’s subject role and central position in the national development strategy

The red thread imbued with the spirit of the 13^th Party Congress is “The people’s subject role and central position” in the national development strategy. Such spirit is clearly shown in all aspects from economy, politics, culture, society, to national defense, security and foreign affairs... and is a step to polish up the Party's renovation theory on considering people as the goal, motivation, resource, subject and center of the cause of national construction and defense as well as the national development strategy. The article focuses on analyzing the views of the 13^th Party Congress on “The people’s subject role and central position” in the national development strategy.

DANG QUANG DINH: The core theoretical issues of the Party's renewal line in the Documents of the 13^th Party Congress

The success of the 13^th National Party Congress has strongly encouraged the entire Party, people and army to overcome difficulties and challenges, seizing new opportunities to strive to bring Vietnam forward to become a developed, high-income, socialist-oriented country. The 13^th Congress adopted important guidelines and decisions for the orientation of national development to 2030 with vision to 2045. In which, core theoretical issues were proposed, supplemented and developed as the outcome of 90 years of  the Party’s leadership, contributing to the formation of the theoretical system of socialism and building socialism in Vietnam.

Party inspection, supervision and discipline is an important part of Party building. Continuing to promote the achieved results in the term of 2016-2020, the 13^th Party Congress has proposed new guidelines and missions in party inspection, supervision and discipline, contributing to improve the Party’s leading, ruling and fighting capacity, maintaining the transparency and strength of the Party.

PHAN THI THANH HAI: Lecturers of political theory in universities with prevention and control of “self-evolution” and “self-transformation”

The prevention and control of “self-evolution” and “self-transformation” is an urgent need where the role of political theory lecturers in universities are highlighted. The article analyzes different levels and expressions of “self-evolution” and “self-transformation”; gives an assessment of the role, limitation and proposes solutions to promote the role of political theory lecturers in preventing and controlling “self-evolution” and “self-transformation” in light of the Resolution of the 13th Part­y Congress.

TANG THI THU TRANG: Rebutting false and misleading claims about anti-corruption in Vietnam

By by all means of cunning tricks, through the media, negative and reactionary forces of hostility, discontent and political opportunism have attacked the ideological foundation of the Party, the Constitution and laws of the State with the plot of to negating the leadership role of the Communist Party of Vietnam. They propose the misleading claims about the anti-corruption operation to lower the Party's leadership and prestige and weaken the people's trust in the regime. The article analyzes, argues and refutes false and misleading allegations and claims about the anti-corruption operation in Vietnam today.

HOANG THI LAN: Religion in the cultural and social life of ethnic minorities in the Central Highlands today

In recent decades, religions have been introduced and rapidly developed in ethnic minority groups in the Central Highlands. Cultural, ethical and humanistic values of religions have positively influenced on enriching the people’s cultural life in the Central Highlands. After integrating into national culture, religions actively participate in social activities (education, healthcare, humanitarian charity), restore the traditional cultural space, preserve the languages and writings of the ethnic minorities in the Central Highlands. However, besides the positive influences, religions have caused the changes of traditional social relationships and institutions, which are taken advantage of by hostile forces, causing political and social unrests.
