Today the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics officially opens the online and English versions of the Political Theory Journal– HCMA’s institution for communication. On behalf of all cadres and staffs of the Academy, I would like to warmly welcome and thank all of you for being present here. Your presence is a big encouragement and support for our Academy and stimulates us to continuously strive to deserve the trust of the Party and State, officials, party members nationwide and international friends.

The Journal is HCMA’s institution for scientific research and communication aimed to disseminate HCMA’s research findings and practical emerging problems, contributing to study and educate Marxism - Leninism, Ho Chi Minh’s thought, the Party’s guidelines, and the State’s policies and laws; fighting against false viewpoints and thoughts.

For nearly 40 years, the Journal has closely followed its principles and purposes and made ​​great contributions to the education and training of high and middle ranking leaders, managers of the Party, States and mass organizations in the political system as well as the political lecturers and researchers nationwide. Besides, the Journal has also positively contributed to scientific research work of political theory for planning and completing the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies and laws. The Journal has played an important role to accelerate the relationship between HCMA and international partners.

In the context of international integration and the national industrialization and modernization acceleration, the Politburo issued Decision 224-QD/TW dated 6^th January 2014 on the functions, tasks and organizational structure of the HCMA. The new decision will be the motivation and basis for the HCMA to continuously push up the comprehensive renovation in all facets, including information, journalism and publication. The HCMA’s Party Committee and Directorate have actively guided the Journal in preparation of facilities for the publication of the English and online versions. The Journal’s online version aims to bring better, more convenient, timely and diversified service to readers. It also opens a close and multilateral relationship between HCMA’s scientists and researchers as well as readers, domestically and abroad. With the English version, the Journal desires to disseminate HCMA’s research results on political theory to the English speaking readers, opening up new opportunities for the convenient exchange of information between HCMA’s scientists and foreign readers, contributing to the implementation of the Party and State’s policy on international integration.

Today, we are pleased to introduce you to the first English publication of the Journal. This is a quarterly publication with selected articles from the monthly Journal and other Journals in HCMA translated into English. On the web site at www.lyluanchinhtri.vn in Vietnamese and English, apart from articles published monthly, we also introduce highlight information about training and theory research activities of the HCMA and articles directly sent to the web site by the authors. Despite some modifications during the trial time, the publication launched today certainly subjects to shortcomings and defects. In the coming time, we will guide the Journal to continuously improve and innovate so that the online and English versions of the Journal have enriched content and better appearance, abiding to the Party and State’s tasks of ideological work as well as the political tasks assigned to HCMA. This will make the Journal become a reliable address for readers domestically and abroad.

On this occasion, we would like to express our respect and gratitude to Mr. Dinh The Huynh, the Politburo member, the Secretary of the Party Central Committee and the Manager of the Central Communication and Education Commission who has supported the HCMA and given insightful guidance to its works, especially in communication and journalism. We are very honored to invite you to officially press the button to officially launch the Journal’s web page and give the instructional speech to the Journal.
