(LLCT) - President Ho Chi Minh, the hero of national liberation, the worldwide celebrity of culture, has devoted his life to the cause of national liberation, bringing a prosperous, free and happy life for Vietnamese people. His rich and vibrant revolutionary career passed on various precious “Heritage” to the nation. In which, his theoretical creativity in national liberation revolution was a prominent mark, contributing to great victories of Vietnamese revolution as well as having profound epochal value.

(LLCT) - In honour of the 130th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2020), on May 8, 2020, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, the Central Communication Committee and Nghe An Provincial Party Committee co-organized the national scientific conference “President Ho Chi Minh and the cause of national renewal, development and defense”. The Journal of Political Theory has the great honour of publishing the conference’s opening speech by Professor NGUYEN XUAN THANG, member of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee, President of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, and Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council.

(LLCT) - In recent years, with the policy of developing the private sector officially recognized, especially thanks to the Resolution No. 10-NQ/TW dated June 3, 2017 on “Developing the private economy as an important driving force of the socialist-oriented market economy”, the private sector has showed a strong growth and contributed positively to the country’s socio-economic development. Nevertheless, besides the achievements, there are still many issues that need to be addressed to ensure the sustainability of the private economic sector to truly become a vital driving force of the national economy.

(LLCT) - As a genuine Marxist - Leninist Party, the Communist Party of Vietnam, established and trained by President Ho Chi Minh, has always smoothly combined genuine patriotism with the internationalism of the working class, maintained its identity as the working class, been steadfast in reaching for the goals of national independence and socialism, been firm in holding to Marxism - Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought, and applied these factors to the practical condition of Vietnam to build the proper line and policy since its establishment. Thanks to that, the Party has always fulfilled its historical mission for the nation, leading the Vietnamese revolution to successive victories. Simultaneously, it has made great contributions to the international communist and workers’ movement.

(LLCT) - On January 16, 2020, the Central Communication Department, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, and Central Theoretical Council worked together to organize the scientific workshop “The Communist Party of Vietnam - Intelligence, Mettle, and Renovation for National Independence and Socialism (1930-2020)”. (LLCT) - The State and market have a close and dialectical relation. A nation’s economy will operate effectively if the relationship between these two elements is appropriate and well established. In contrast, the incapability of resolving this relation will lead to deviations in development, as well as create a hurdle for each other. This article analyzes the State-market relation in Vietnam, along with the orientations to enhance it in the upcoming period.

(LLCT) - On September 14th, 2019, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics solemnly celebrated the 70th Anniversary of the Academy’s tradition (1949-2019), and was honored to welcome Party General Secretary, President NGUYEN PHU TRONG, who attended and delivered an important speech. The Journal of Political Theory is honored to introduce his speech in full. The title was given by the Journal.

(LLCT) - During the Revolution 4.0 period, the global modes of economic activities have changed drastically, and Vietnam is not an exception. The exchange of goods and services between individuals, organizations and businesses is starting to be based on the application of digital technology. In order to adapt to the economy transformed into a digital economy, the State must also innovate the model and ways of applying digital technology in economic management.

(LLCT) - The theory of economic development was formulated by Adam Smith, which has been continually developed by K. Marx and other economists to this day. This theory is the basis for planning and implementing development policies of market economies. Vietnam has approached theories of economic development since the Doi Moi (Renovation), although it has achieved many important results via awareness and in daily life, it still faces several challenges and difficulties.
