Phan Van Giang: Lessons learned from the October Revolution of Russia to the construction of revolutionary armed forces

Russia's October Revolution not only ended in the struggle for power of the proletariat and labor, but also left valuable lessons for the communist movement, international workers and struggling nation to liberate their country. These are the lessons of the leadership role of the ruling Communist Party, building the revolutionary armed forces strong in politics, thought and operation to protecting the Fatherland.

Nguyen Trong Phuc: Lenin's viewpoint on transition to socialism and the creative development of renewal cause in Vietnam

Lenin argued that in the transitional period to socialism existed intertwined and co-developed economic sectors; the transitional period is very long and goes through specific stages and steps. Thus, it is necessary to apply the achievements of modern science and learn the management experience of capitalism to create high productivity. Following the Lenin's point of view, the Party has determined, the transition to socialism in Vietnam will have to go through a long period of development, facilitate various forms of social and economic institutions. Therefore, the Party has focused on building and perfecting the Socialist law-ruled State; building a socialist-oriented market economy with various economic components.

In essence, Ho Chi Minh's thought of development is the dialectical materialist thought. It is the crystallization of the philosophical values of the development of national traditions as well as the Oriental and Western traditions, especially the development of materialist dialectics in Marxist-Leninist philosophy. It was enriched, nourished by the practical experience of revolutionary struggle of Vietnamese people and of President Ho Chi Minh. Tran Thi Thai: Policy proposals to boost the transformation of agricultural cooperatives according to Cooperative Law 2012

Reality of the implementation of the Cooperative Law 2012 has showed a number of difficulties that are slowing down the process of transforming agricultural cooperatives according to the Cooperative Law 2012. Among those, inappropriate regulations in the Cooperative Law 2012 and some other by-laws have burdened the whole process. From survey and assessment, the article proposed some suggestions and changes to correct such inappropriate regulations to boost the transfer of Vietnam’s agricultural cooperatives for effective operation and the success of building new rural areas.

Women have imprinted their devotions in every field of life in Vietnam today. However, statistics have shown that women’s “social values” are seemingly lower than men’s ones. To ensure genuine equality for women, it needs not only the consistent policy lines, but also a system of comprehensive and feasible solutions, including awareness enhancement, renovation of contents and measures to promote women’s potentials; perfection of mechanism and policy to manage and use female human resource towards the eradication of gender inequality in every field of social life.

The formation of the ASEAN Political - Security Community (APSC) has brought ASEAN not only new opportunities but also challenges, such as the diversity in political regimes, religions and developmental states; inner conflicts; insufficient operational mechanism and method; especially the intensification of great powers’ presence in the region. Reality has posed the issues of increasing awareness among ASEAN members to unify the community and work together to build the APSC towards a peaceful and stable region; to prevent conflicts and build trust; to tackle non-traditional security challenges for more effective cooperation in politics and defense.
